So, I tried out a self-done French manicure for my one-year anniversary with my boyfriend (June 1st). For my left hand, I free-drew it, and for my right hand, I tried masking tape guides. The quality ended up about the same - fairly crappy. But it looked alright from a far and DBF thought I looked beautiful the day of, so everything worked out. :)
