I know I just posted the question yesterday, but I really just needed one person to tell me it seemed like a good idea. And at least two people said it was, so, ta-da! If you have a Facebook, I'd really appreciate your "like." I hope this is an easier way for some of you to follow my nail art. :)

Facebook fan page?
I've been thinking about making a Facebook fan page for my blog. Not a lot of people have or want a Blogger, so even if they want to follow my blog, they might not be able to. It would be another way of getting out there. I mean, I want people to be able to see my nail art and enjoy it as much as I do. So maybe Facebook is a way to do that?
But I wanted opinions first, just in case it's not worth the extra effort. So, thoughts?

Lasting Power Musings
Woohoo, a post every day this week! That might be a record. :p
So, the last couple weeks I've been thinking about how long things last. Unless I really hate something or have timing concerns, I try to make each one of my designs last a week. And by try I don't really mean try, more like, I don't take it off for that long. If I want something to last longer than a week, I might apply an extra coat of top coat or two a couple days later. Usually I'll get a few chips and tip wear, but have no real problems with nail polish lasting that long.
However, I hear lots of people saying that nail polish only lasts a day or four days or something. And I'm wondering if we have different definitions of "lasting," or whether polish just stays better on my for whatever reason.
For my end of the discussion, I have two photo comparisons to offer of recent designs. In each, the first photo is the morning after I applied it, and the second is before I removed it.
This one had really good lasting power. A full week later, and you can hardly tell.
Ten days later. Definitely some chips on a couple of the fingers, but on the others it still looks pretty good.
So I just wanted to contribute that, and hear what anyone else has to say on the matter. :)

03/31/13 - Holler for Holos!
As I've mentioned, I'm a big fan of holographic stuffs. So since the sun may or may not be coming out more often, I decided to decorate my toes with holographic goodness. :)
I gave it one coat of Wet 'n' Wild - Blue Wants to Be a Millionaire, a nice scattered blue holo. Then I topped it with two coats of Love & Beauty - Silver, which was kinda like a thicker version of China Glaze - Fairy Dust. the result? Holo goodness.
There was no sun today, but you could still see the holo.
It's good. I like it. I'll enjoy looking down and seeing holographicness on my toes for the next few weeks. :)
ETA:
The sun came out! Not only was I thrilled because of this in general, but my little piggies look even more awesome in the sun! Yay!

Swatch: LynBDesigns - Time and Relative Dimension in Space
Boy, that polish name is a mouthful!
I'm sad that I was having camera troubles for this polish. It's a nice polish and these pictures don't do it justice at all. Regardless, here is two coats of LynBDesigns - Time And Relative Dimension In Space.
As you can tell, it's a blue, jelly-ish base with some silver sparkles and flecks. I like its representation of the TARDIS. The blue is obvious, but the silver flecks add a bit of mystery and magic, just like the TARDIS. Plus, the TARDIS isn't completely blue. The flecks remind me of the windows.
LynBDesigns describes the polish as follows: "The Doctor loves few things more than his TARDIS. So in honor of that and my crazy need to find the perfect TARDIS blue nail polish, I created this color. It's a deep blue jelly like base that has blue, silver, navy, and dark silver glitters suspended in it."
Those two pictures are with top coat, and show the depth of the polish pretty well. It's pretty and intriguing. And of course, makes a great base for TARDIS nail art. :)
You can pick up Time and Relative Dimension in Space here.

03/31/13 - TARDIS Nails
As you may remember, I recently bought LynBDesigns - Time and Relative Dimension in Space. And not only did I want to try it out, but I knew I had to put a TARDIS on it. :)
[Also, before I post the photos, remember that I'm having camera issues at the moment.]
Also, is it any surprise that I painted these while watching the newest episode of Doctor Who? :p
And on my ring fingers, I went for the TARDIS. On my left hand, I tried the frontal view of the blue box. On the right, I tried to do that clever look where they form the D and the W to look like a TARDIS. My left hand wasn't quite skilled enough for it, but I think you get the idea, and not-close up it does look better.
The polishes involved are: LynBDesigns - Time and Relative Dimension in Space, Wet 'n' Wild - Ebony Hates Chris, Wet 'n' Wild - Metallica, Pure Ice - Super Star, Colormates - Paparazzi, Wet 'n' Wild - Blue Wants to Be a Millionaire, NYX - Indigo Blue, Sinful Colors - Purple Diamond, JLB - Deep Sea, Maybelline - Sapphire Siren, Wet 'n' Wild - Burgundy Frost, and Essence - Fateful Desire. Whew!
Bye all! Oh, and watch Doctor Who! :D

On my thumbs, I'm sporting glasses and a bow tie, to symbolize the two most recent Doctors. Because bow ties are cool.
On my pointer fingers, I did a quick galaxy look. Because all that time and space travel involves going through galaxies, you know. And on my ring fingers, I went for the TARDIS. 04/01/13 - Stash Update
Hello! I'm back in Eugene after a lovely spring break. :)
And of course, one of the things I did over spring break was buy nail polish. I keep telling myself I'm not going to do that any more, especially since I have no room left in my current storage, but... Oh well. :p
Yup. :) Here's a quick bottle shot of Black Illusion, because I'm always a total sucker for holographics.
The display for the L.A. Girl holographics made them seem like linear holographics, but you could tell from the bottles that they weren't. But I didn't mind, because Black Illusion looks like it could be a dupe for Zoya - Storm, which is a polish I've had my eye on. But this was cheaper and I'm content with it, so no need to spend extra! Yay!
Also, my school store was having a bit of a sale on paint brushes, so I picked up one and then this pack.
You can see the set came with acrylic paint and a set of paintbrushes all for $10, which seemed good enough to try.
I'd been planning on getting one of those nail art brush sets they sell online, but this seems to be the same brushes those sets include, so hopefully it'll work out.
Lastly, my camera broke a while ago, so I left it at home for spring break. These pictures and my next couple posts will be with my other camera, which I am having the hardest time figuring out how to take nail art pictures with it. As in, they're not coming out good. :( Which is a shame. I have a new camera in the mail, so hopefully that'll arrive soon and it'll work out. But try not to judge the pictures too harshly with this camera and then as I adjust to the new one.
